Pastor Gary B. Hill was born in Washington, D.C. to the late James and Sylvia Hill. He is married to Lureva Hill and is the proud father of four children and two grandchildren. He worked 18 years as a public servant with the United States Government, National Institute of Health, after graduating form Calvin Coolidge high school in Washington D.C. He then worked for 10 years as a contractor for various United States Government agencies where he held the position of supervisor and manager.

After many years of drug addiction and alcoholism, he was touched by an angel and recommitted his life to the Lord in 1996. Then, in 2007 Pastor Hill founded the Exodus Treatment Center, Inc, which is a 501(c) 3 non-profit community based Christian organization. The creation of Exodus Treatment Center, Inc is Pastor Hill's fulfillment of his faith in God and mission to serve the people. Because of his personal deliverance from drug abuse, he has great empathy for individuals who are plagued by the issues of substance abuse. Under his leadership over the past six years, Exodus Treatment Center has established recovery support services for at-risk individuals in the northeast, southeast, and southwest sections of Washington, D.C.

Pastor Hill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical Studies from Family Bible College and recently obtained an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. In addition to this, he has received extensive recovery support training from a variety of organizations including Prince Georges County Division of Addictions Alcohol and Drug Prevention Administration, National Association of Children of Alcoholics, Department of Health's Addiction Prevention and Recovery Adminstration, and various others.
